The apartment is in the heart of Vieux Nice, the baroque old town with its ochre and terracotta facades, narrow streets, and the Cours Saleya. The beach is 100 m away. Restaurants are 20 m. The tram to Nice-Ville station is five minutes on foot.

Nice is the most practical base for the French Riviera. The coastal TER train puts Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, and Menton all within 40 minutes. For visitors attending the Cannes Film Festival, Monaco Grand Prix, or Nice Carnival, staying in Vieux Nice keeps you well-connected without the pressure of event-town accommodation prices.

Who it suits

Gilli works best for a family with school-age children, two couples, or a small group of friends who want to live inside the old town rather than near it — walking home from the market, the beach, and the evening restaurants. It is not the right fit for guests with limited mobility: the apartment is a fourth-floor walk-up and the stairs are steep and uneven. And this is the middle of Vieux Nice, not a quiet suburb — the Cours Saleya is lively into the evening, which is either the whole point or a reason to look elsewhere, depending on how you travel.
